Diane C. Nicholson’s image, Spirits of the Firestorm was selected in the Freestyle category during the Professional Photographers Association of BC's 2006 Salon Competition. Spirits also “hung” at the PPOC National Competition and won its category as well as received 5th place overall in an international competition put on by National Photo Awards. It is a compilation of 20 images (all taken by Nicholson) and portrays the spirits of 15 animals within the setting of a burning forest.
Nicholson has been a professional photographer since 1987 and a member of PPOC since 1996, specializing in families; human and animal. She holds a national accreditation in Equine and feels that her deep love and respect for all animals allows her to transpose their very souls onto a print. Nicholson licenses images for magazines, catalogues and advertising, has had several covers, and her photo-art hangs in private collections worldwide. She photographs for corporate gifts, staff photos and commercial and will enhance or create art from amateur or “only” images of people or animals. |
